Following consideration of the current COVID situation in NSW and Victoria, HRNSW advises that participants licensed in NSW, including those persons located within a ‘border bubble’ are not to enter Victoria for the purpose of attending harness racing meetings.

Similarly, HRNSW will not permit any participants licensed in Victoria, including those persons located within a ‘border bubble’, to enter NSW for the purpose of attending harness racing meetings.

Consequently, HRNSW advises Trainers affected by this situation that horses nominated for interstate harness racing meetings are to be transported by a legitimate horse transport company approved in advance by HRNSW to a Trainer’s Representative (Licensed Trainer) in the respective State.

  • Horses transported in this manner are required to be at the registered training establishment of the Trainer’s Representative prior to 8am on raceday.
  • A Trainer’s Representative form is required to be completed and approved by HRNSW Stewards prior to the transport of any horse being undertaken in this manner.

Any enquiries should be directed to HRNSW Stewards on (02) 9722 6655.

HRNSW management reminds all industry participants of the available industry support program.
