NSW: COVID-19 Update

Effective immediately, the following conditions have been implemented by the HRNSW COVID-19 Management Team and must strictly be followed by members of the Harness Racing Industry so as to minimise risk within the industry.

Face Masks

  • All Licensed persons and essential staff are reminded that face masks are compulsory and MUST be worn under the following circumstances.

 

- At all stages when positioned within the stabling area. (Owners and members of the public will also be subject of this condition)

- During Sample collection (Pre and Post Race);

- When attending a Steward’s room;

- When attending a Driver’s change room/bathroom;

- At any other time as directed by HRNSW Stewards or Integrity Staff.

Licensed Persons are strictly reminded that face masks should not be shared between individuals.

Greater Sydney Area

  • The restrictions on persons who resides or have visited the northern area of the Northern Beaches or have been in an identified Sydney hot spot in the past 14 days remains. Any person in these categories are ordered NOT to attend race meetings or training establishments until Government advice is provided that the situation has been resolved.

Separation of Participants and Patrons

  • Tabcorp Park Menangle, Penrith and Newcastle will continue to have separation between licensed participants and members of the public. This will remain in place until further notice.  

QR Codes

  • The Service NSW QR Code recording system will be introduced at all race meetings in NSW for entry to all persons.
