NSW: COVID-19 Restrictions and Protocols Update

In line with the intention of the NSW Government to remove State border restrictions from 12.01am on Monday 23 November 2020, after that time HRNSW will also remove restrictions previously placed upon participants entering NSW or returning from other States.

Should the NSW Government revert to State border restrictions at any time, HRNSW will continue to adhere to such protocols and restrictions.

HRNSW COVID-19 Management Group reminds all industry participants that with the easing of restrictions within NSW, it is imperative that all Government guidelines and protocols continue to be adhered to in relation to Social Distancing, Hygiene and the wearing of face masks.

In the following conditions, face masks remain compulsory and all persons MUST wear a face mask.

  • During Sample collection (Pre and Post Race);
  • When attending a Steward’s room;
  • When attending a Driver’s change room/bathroom;
  • At any other time as directed by HRNSW Stewards or Integrity Staff.



Race day Protocols -

Established COVID-19 Race Day Protocols will be retained at all race tracks until further notice. This includes but not limited to the nomination of Stablehand’s, Stable Representatives, Drivers Colours and all current documentation.
