Shepparton 9/12

R1 – 6:05pm – Make Your Horse Eligble For VHRC Super Bonuses Trot - 2190m

11 – Waikare Adrienna

9 – I Am Harro

1 – Madge Egan

8 – Sky Lindy

R2 – 6:30pm – VHRC / Benstud Vicbred Voucher 3yo Maiden – 1690m

7 – Blackjack Whacko

3 – Ima Tiggy Tiger

2 – Hezaflashone

11 – Jacquelyn Joy

Strategy:

There was a lot to like about Blackjack Wacko’s debut performance where he drew outside the backrow over the short trip showed good speed and narrowly missed after sustaining a long run. He will come on in fitness from that and with a similarly aggressive drive from Taylor Youl can press forward and be too speedy.

BACK: 7 Blackjack Whacko – 2.5 Units (win)

R3 – 6:57pm – VHRC / Mark Gurry & Associates Pace – 2190m

1 – Spirit Of Shara

2 – Keayang Santiago

5 – Riveera

10 – Soho Playgirl

Strategy:

Spirit Of Sahara resumed from a break last time out and there was no doubt he was disappointing. Subsequent follow-ups suggested a stable virus, so I’m willing to forgive on that and trust the stable. He’s drawn perfectly and strikes the most suitable race in a long time to return to the winning list.

BACK: 1 Spirit Of Sahara – 2.5 Units (win)

R4 – 7:34pm – VHRC / Chisley Holdings Pace – 2190m

4 – Champagne Walsh

9 – With In Reason

3 – Warrioress

10 – My Ultimate Luigi

R5 – 8:08pm – VHRC / Black Horse Naturals Pace – 1690m

3 – Rockin Gemma

9 – Im Dustee

1 – Mack Pack

2 – Hes Lethal

Strategy:

Rockin Gemma has now had two runs for the new stable and there’s been encouraging signs a win isn’t too far away. She has good early gate speed and she only got tired the last 100m last week so the mile may be more to her liking.

BACK: 3 Rockin Gemma – 2 Units (win)

R6 – 8:42pm – VHRC / Tabcorp Pace – 1690m

7 – Iamawingate

6 – Spun Silver

8 – Wingate Guy

4 – Miki Mark

Strategy:

Iamawingate is suited here back to the front row and gets the opportunity to shadow the speed drawn to his inside to press forward over the short trip. He loves this track and James Herbertson going back aboard is a big plus.

BACK: 7 Iamawingate – 3 Units (win)

QUADDIE (Races 3-6)
