STAR Aussie trotter The Locomotive has got his chance to make a splash in Sweden.

The reigning Inter Dominion champion drew wide and was never in the hunt when sixth in last month’s iconic Elitlopp at Solvalla.

Connections always planned to leave him in Sweden for some other races and the first of them in Boden on Sunday (Australian time).

The race is the Norbottens Stora Pris, which Just Believe ran second in two years ago.

In contrast to the Elitlopp, The Locomotive has drawn well and gets the chance to use his blistering early speed.

With Brad Hewitt back home, respected trainer Susanne Frang has taken charge of The Locomotive.

Top Swedish driver Ulf Ohlsson will take the reins.

The star of the Boden race will be Elitlopp runner-up Don Fanucci Zet, who will start from gate eight.
