NSW: Trainer Stood Down - Mr Peter Russo

Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) Stewards, acting under the provisions of Australian Harness Racing Rule 183 (a), (c) & (d), have today suspended the Trainer’s licence of Mr Peter Russo after receiving advice that Total Plasma Carbon Dioxide above the prescribed threshold had been detected in the pre-race blood sample taken from DIVINE DIVA prior to it running in race 3, the WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP LADYSHIP PACE (1609 metres) conducted at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday 9 October 2021.

HRNSW Stewards considered all available information, including submissions on behalf of Mr Russo, prior to the imposition of Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 183.

Mr Russo was informed of his right to appeal this decision.

A date for the Inquiry has not been scheduled at this time.
