The Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards remind all participants of the requirement to wear a properly fitted mask at all times whilst at a race meeting.

All participants must wear a fitted face mask at all times whilst at a race meeting except in the following circumstances:

  • When driving a horse;
  • When participating in a media interview;
  • When medically exempt from wearing a fitted face mask.

The above requirements apply to all industry participants, club staff and HRV staff.

Should any person fail to comply they may be in breach of Australian Harness Racing Rule 238 which states:

238. A person shall not fail to comply with any order, direction or requirement of the Controlling Body or the Stewards relating to harness racing or to the harness racing industry.

Stewards advise that a minimum fine of $200 will apply to any proven breaches.
