VIC - Stewards Supplementary Report

Kilmore – 30 September 2021

RACE 3 – MC SECURITY 2YO MAIDEN TROT (2180 MS)

Chris Lang, trainer of Toro Stride NZ, advised subsequently from the event the colt had recovered well.  However, Mr.Lang stated Toro Stride NZ has been gelded and would now have an extended spell.

RACE 7 – J & A MAZZETTI PACE (2180 MS)

Tim Butt, trainer of Swayzee advised subsequently from the event the colt had undergone several tests and was still awaiting those results.  Mr Butt will advise Stewards once these results are known.  Swayzee will not race in the meantime.

RACE 8 – OKR 98.3FM TROT

Brent Lilley, trainer of Aldebaran Zeus, advised subsequently from the event the colt had undergone dental treatment.  Mr. Lilley stated Aldebaran Zeus has worked well since and will continue with the current preparation.

RACE 5 – LATHER UP VICTORIA DERBY (3RD HEAT)

John Nicholson, trainer of Sebs Choice, advised subsequently from the event the gelding had pulled up well and had undergone blood tests that revealed no abnormality.  Mr. Nicholson could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance and stated Sebs Choice would trial this weekend prior to continuing with the current preparation.

RACE 6 – ALLIED EXPRESS PACE

John Nicholson, trainer of Its Back In The Day NZ, advised subsequently from the event the gelding had recovered well.  Blood tests taken from the gelding revealed no issues.   Mr. Nicholson could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance and stated Its Back In The Day NZ would trial this weekend prior to continuing with the current preparation.

RACE 9 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED VICTORIA OAKS (1ST HEAT)

Craig Turnbull, trainer of Heritage Lady, advised subsequently from the event the filly may have partially choked down after over-racing throughout.   Mr. Turnbull also added that Heritage Lady had appeared to have tied-up following the race.  As a result Mr.Turnbull stated he won’t be starting Heritage Lady over the longer distance in future.
