Following a review of internal naming policies, the Harness Racing Australia (HRA) Executive have approved a change to the horse naming procedures.

Effective immediately, horses may be now named at any stage from the time in which they are registered according to Australian Harness Racing Rules (AHRR) 93. This policy change replaces the former policy which only allowed horses one year and older to be named.

The naming rules (Australian Harness Racing Rules 93-95AB) may be found here.
